How to produce
this animated GIF




Open the dynamic geometry application by [APPS] 8:Geometry
Choose an appropriate name for your new construction.

Create an arbitrary triangle by [F3] 3:Triangle, move the cursor to where you want the first vertex, press [ENTER], move the cursor to where you want the second vertex, press [ENTER],move the cursor to where you want the third vertex, press [ENTER], and the triangle appears.

Now mark the midpoint of each side. Press [F4] 3:Midpoint, move the cursor to one side of the triangle and you will see the confirmation message midpoint of this side of the triangle. Press [ENTER].

Repeat the procedure for the midpoints of the other two sides.

Now draw in the medians. This is done by pressing [F2] 5:Segment. Move the cursor to point at one vertex (ensure you see the this point confirmation), press [ENTER], move the cursor to point at the midpoint of the opposite side, press [ENTER].

Repeat this procedure for the other two medians.

You should see the construction with the three medians intersecting. Move the cursor to one of the vertices. When you get the this point confirmation, hold down the [BLUE HAND] button. The cursor changes to a small hand. Use the cursor pad to drag the vertex.

Drag the vertex a small distance at a time to provide the frames for the animation. Before you capture the screenshot, it is advisable to get rid of the hand cursor by releasing the blue hand key and moving the cursor to the bottom right of the screen.

Use the TI-GRAPHLINK to capture each screenshot, copy each image into a graphics software package to save as a .gif file, and use these individual images with your chosen GIF Animation programme.
