Care must always be taken when handling any electronic circuitry.
Never have the camera plugged into your computer or switched on when working on any modification.
The usual antistatic precautions should always be taken,
Ground yourself often or wear an antistatic wristband.

CCD chips are very sensitive, so, work in a very clean area and try to tidy up as you go along.
The last thing you want is to finish your first Astrocam only to find that you have scratched the CCD.
