Thomas Evans was born in 1840. In 1851 he is listed as being a coal miner living in Holywell Lane but by 1881 he had moved a short distance out to Lawley Bank.
Thomas married Ann who was born 1838 in Dawley.
They had the following children:
Sarah Evans was born 1862 in Dawley. Sarah was a Dressmaker in 1881 living at Lawley Bank. Joseph Evans was born 1865 and became a Coal Miner. George Evans was born 1867. Edward Evans was born 1869 in Wellington.
