Henry Evans "Harry" was born 1871 at 25 Holywell Lane and lived there all of his life. He died in 1925 after being run over by his horse and cart whilst trying to stop the horse from bolting. He was buried on 24 January 1925 at St Luke's, Dosley. Harry was originally employed as a Blacksmith (1891 - 1902) for the Coalbrookdale Company. He then worked for his father as a Carter, taking over the business after his father died. He used one of the vacant dwellings in Holywell Lane as a blacksmiths shop but did not shoe his own horses..
Harry married Ruth Baldwin, daughter of William Baldwin, on 13 April 1902 in Holy Trinity, Dawley Magna. Ruth was born about 1877 and before her marriage she lived in Langley Sq, Dawley. She died in 1962 still at 25 Holywell Lane.
They had the following children:
