Dean Evans Family History


Benjamin Evans  was born about 1794 at 22 Holywell Lane and was christened 25 January 1795. The 1841 Census shows him at 25 Holywell Lane but he had died by 1851.He was a Miner.

Benjamin married Nancy Bailey, who was born in 1796, on 9 Oct 1820. After Benjamin had died, Nancy lived on at No 25, being shown as a monthly nurse and later as an Annuitant. She died in1877 and was buried on 9 December 1877 at St Lukes, Dosley.

They had the following children:

Jane Evans who was christened 4 March 1821.
Jane married William Owen on 26 Mar 1847 in Holy Trinity, Dawley Magna. William was born before 1827and was a Collier.
Zellah Evans was christened 10 March 1822.
Thomas Evans (1823-1867)
William Evans was christened on 15 January 1826.
Elizabeth Evans was  christened 23 December 1827.
Sarah Evans was born in 1828 and christened 7 February 1830.
Elizabeth Evans was christened 3 June 1832.
Mary Anne Evans was christened on 13 July 1834 but did not survive and was buried on 25 November 1836 at St Leonard's, Malinslee.
