Heal your pet

a crown chakkra colour: violet
brow chakkra colour: indigo
throat chakkra colour: blue
heart chakkra colour: green
solar plexus colour: yellow
spleen chakkra colour: orange
base chakkra colour: red

The above chakkras are the animals main energy centres. In actual fact there are over 200 minor chakkras too. If a chakkra gets blocked, it can lead to illness.
Wherever the area of the problem is, concentrate on the corresponding chakkra by gently applying your hands to the area until you feel that the animal has responded.
The base chakkra incorporates the sexual organs as well as the legs and feet.
You may feel the following sensations in your hands: tingling, heat, cold or pins and needles.

Here are excerpts from my forthcoming book ‘The diary of a healer’, due to be published at the beginning of next year. Debi J.

To heal an emotional problem in an animal, your communication with them is essential. In learning to speak to your pet, you can find out why they are unhappy, and why they displaying disruptive tendencies. It may be for instance that your animal resents the partner you live with. Lets say that you are a lady and have lived alone with your pet for many years, and have given it your undivided attention, until suddenly a man appears on the scene and takes the place of the pet, where attention is concerned. The animal may see this as an invasion of it’s territory and will be unhappy to see this ‘unknown visitor’ making himself at home. The pet may feel pushed out.

Animals communicate telepathically quite naturally and you should not feel silly talking to your pet, rather you should feel silly if you don’t. When you share an intimate moment with you pet, talk to them, about anything, and gradually you will be able to understand their response.

The best way to start communicating with your pet, is to set aside some time for you and your pet to be intimate every day and make sure that you will not be disturbed and that both you and your pet are feeling comfortable. Start by petting your animal and tell them that you love them, and then ask them if they are happy, and if there is anything that they do not like. Then sit quietly and see what comes into your mind. I find that with Henry, my cat, I see a picture, almost like a photograph, which he projects to me. So, if for instance the problem stems from a person, he will put the picture of that person into my head, and I will see the persons face quite clearly. Henry and I have developed a connection whereby, if I have to go away for any reason I show Henry a picture by transferring it from my mind into his, of me leaving the house. I show him Janice the next door neighbour coming in to look after and feed him, and I show him the number of days we will be away, by sending separate images of the nightime to him one by one, according to the amount of days I will be away. I then show him us coming back, loving him and telling him that we missed him. This has a very beneficial effect on Henry, because he knows that we will not be abandoning him, and that we aren’t leaving because of him. Animals live at one with nature, and you’ll find that they spend a lot of their time in a semi meditative state. This is why your communication with them will be easy.

Try to relax your mind and cut off from any other distractions. Turn the phone off, and make sure that you have done everything you need to do, before sitting down with your pet for a chat!. Raise your awareness of the beauty of your pet. Notice every intricate detail, it’s markings, it’s breathing, and know that your pet is very special. When you feel ready begin talking to your animal and be receptive to what you feel. If the picture of a cat, or the word cat for instance, comes into your head after you have talked to your animal, then it could be that a cat is causing your pet problems.

Animals are very susceptible to negative people and negative surroundings. If you are always angry, shouting or depressed, your animal will pick up on the energies you give out, and may lose it’s vitality. love of life, or get sick as a result.

If you are talking to a dog, it is preferably to look them straight in the eye, but with a cat this can sometimes make them feel intimidated or threatened, so look into their eyes but do not stare. Instead make sure that you blink many times and overt your eyes occasionally to the position between their eyes that relates to the third eye.

You are perfectly capable of administering healing to your pet, even if you are not qualified. As long as you love them unconditionally, then this is enough. To prepare your pet to receive healing from you, I find it best to start by sweeping their auric field several times every day for a week until your pet gets used to what you are doing. The rule of healing is that you must ask your pet for permission before you start.

Sweep your hand from the head, along the body, and off at the tail or back of the body, holding your hand about 3 inches from the animals body. I always shake my hands afterwards, as this will release any residue energy that I may have picked up from the auric field.

Animals such as cats, will only let you give them healing if they truly need it. Always tell your pet that you love them and want to help to make them better, and then tell them what you intend to do. In my experience as a pet healer, the chakkra’s, are situated in almost identical areas to the human chakkra’s, so when giving healing, start as you would, a human, with the top of the head(crown Chakkra), and work your way down the body, putting your hands over each chakkra, until you reach the tail and back legs(base chakkra). The first chakkra is the crown chakkra and is situated at the top of the head. The second chakkra is the third eye and is situated between the animal’s eyes. The third chakkra is the throat chakkra and is situated at the area of the throat. The fourth chakkra is the heart chakkra, which is situated in the area of the heart. The fifth chakkra is the solar plexus which is situated roughly 3-4 inches above the stomach. The sixth chakkra is the spleen chakkra situated in the region of the belly, and the seventh chakkra is the base chakkra which is situated in the position of the sexual organs and includes the legs and tail. Keep your hands on any part of the body that you feel needs it. Trust your intuition. When we direct healing energy into our pet, the healing energy will go where it needs to. Be very aware of any experiences you may feel, such as tingling, heat, cold or pins and needles, and go with the flow. Your pet will usually let you know when they have had enough. When you have finished use your hands in a sweeping motion and run them from the top of your animal and end at the tail, about 3 inches from it’s body, as if you are brushing dust off of the area above them. By healing the chakkra’s, which are your animal’s main energy centres, you will help to clear any blockages that reside in these areas. So, if for instance, your pet has a digestive problem, use the method above, but make sure that you concentrate on the lower chakkra’s and the belly area.

Sometimes, you may find that your pet is not prepared to sit still, or you may be away from your pet. This is a unique time to send them absent healing. Reiki 2 teaches us to do this, but again, as long as you can maintain the right level of concentration, their is absolutely no reason why your pet can’t benefit from the healing that you send to them.

You can send absent healing by first raising your awareness, and finding a state of complete peace, and withdrawal from all distractions. Now, visualise you pet, as if it is next to you in the room. Communicate your wishes to heal the pet and ask permission. When you are ready to start, you can use several successful methods. The first is to visualise your pet surrounded by a healing white light. The second method is to imagine that your pet has shrunk to a size small enough to fit into your hands (placed aside each other, palms up, fingers touching). Imagine your hands filled with healing light and with unconditional love. Imagine the light filling the animal and healing any pain it may have. The third method is to imagine that the top part of your leg is the animal, the knee is the head and the thigh is it’s legs. Start by putting your hands over your knee and visualise yourself transferring healing to your pets head. Work your way up to the thigh focusing on each specific part of the body and directing healing energies to each part. I also like to visualise the spirit of the animal leaving it’s physical body and playfully joining with the spirit of me, having left my physical body too. This not only strengthens your connection with the animal, but also enables them to release from the physical form and it’s pain.

I used to do a lot of absent healing for Henry, just after he had had his hip replacement operation, as it was too painful for me to touch. Every morning (after sending him healing the night before), I would come downstairs and Henry would not only thank me, but would be increasingly appreciative during the day.

Healing can have such a powerful effect on animals. I have seen miracles happen, where an illness has disappeared from a pet, I have seen animals recover really quickly from intensive operations, and if they have a handicap, healing helps them to deal with it more easily. It also eases the death process, and helps the animal to pass over more comfortably.

Another way to heal your pet is to perform ‘psychic surgery’, where you visualise your hands going into the pet’s body and operating on the area, with no need for anaesthetic or cutting instruments. Start by placing your hands on the problem area and then have the intent for your hands to go into the animals body. Visualise them going in, cleaning up the affending area, and taking anything out that is not needed. In the case of cuts or bites, put your hand over the area, and imagine that your hand is sealing the wound or closing it up. Imagine the offending area, being cleaned and energised. If your pet has an internal organ, that is causing the problem, put your hand over the area, and imagine taking the organ out of the body, washing all of the impurities out of it with pure water and then see yourself holding the organ in your hand and healing it with a pure white light. Then see yourself popping the organ back into it’s rightful place in a totally healthy condition.

Animals are such good friends to have, they see through all of our masks. In other word they see the real you, not the face that you sometimes put on for the sake of other people. In, fact, they are an excellent judge of character, so if you are not sure what a person is really like, bring them home to meet your pet, and see what it’s reaction is like. More importantly, watch how the person treats your animal when they do not think you are watching. Animals can help us to express love and to heal the wounds of a broken heart. Animals give love unconditionally, and sometimes humans find it easier to express love to their animal than they do to a fellow human. Animals are not afraid to come up to us when they want attention and a cuddle. Whatever you do, your animal does not judge you, and I am always amazed at how an animal can stay with an owner that abuses them. But they are very loyal, and this is something to be admired. Animals accept their illnesses better than we do too. I remember a 3 legged cat that I became good friend with many years ago. He never considered only having 3 legs to be a disability and carried on as normal without a thought about it. .

Animals live at one with nature and their surroundings. They do not have human based emotions such as scepticism, basic judgements and doubt. It is for this reason that animals accept reiki healing quite naturally. No harm can ever come to an animal as a result of healing, and it will compliment any other treatment that they are receiving.
