A vampire slayer is mostly called "The Slayer". She doesn't specifically slay vampires, there are other demons of which she also slays, only the bad ones!

There are 3 slayers. Kendra, Faith and of course Buffy are slayers. In the legend when a slayer died a new one are summoned. Buffy had here taste of death in an episode, which brought on Kendra. Although Kendra is a very good, straightforward slayer she trained before her destiny was told making here more fit and aware of here capabilities. Kendra, at the end of Season 2, sadly died because of a hypnotism trick Druciella pulled on her and she died soon after. Since Kendra died Faith was summoned. Faith was partly trained by the council and the council had altogether gave her 3 watchers, not including the evil Gwendolyn Post! Faith though, currently in prison in LA does no longer have a watcher and used her role as slayer in a horrid, dangerous way.

Darla made Angel, hundreds of years ago, a vampire. He killed many innocent people, including a very respected gypsy girl. Other gypsies with an Orb of thessiler and a ritual gave him a soul so he could feel incredibly guilty for the lives he has took.

Angel had the curse on him. But part of the curse says that if he were to have one moment of true happiness, one moment of contempt that soul would be taken from him. Therefore he is just an average, blood-hungry vampire who would slaughter.

The Hellmouth is where the Master lives... There is a hellmouth demon... (the name describes it!) The hellmouth attracts evil demons, hence most of the demons go to Sunnydale.

The most powerful of vampires, capable of destroying the World. Every master has minions...

It is a follower of the Master demon... It setups the harvest...

A night once in a century when a Master Vampire can draw power from one of his minions while it feeds.

Faith has always been a bit of a party animal. Although Faith has proven herself to be laid back more than once

Eg. The episodes "Bad girls" when she didn't care about the poor man who died.

The Mayor admired all of this, once they got together they tried to steel Angel's soul and much worse! Under the Mayor's influence Faith became evil, has tried to kill Angel (the good one!) over 2 times, she has made love with Buffy's current boyfriend and kidnapped Willow! Although Faith is in prison and is good, when she was with the Mayor she was evil.

Part of him being invincible meant that by 100 days an ascension would take place... it did, as Xander says

"A big giant snake".

In this form he could be killed, a hard job but easy for Buffy. The day just happened to be graduation day!

Because an earthquake hit Sunnydale and the Master soon became trapped in a house of worship...

The Anointed one is a type of minion who comforts the master and leads the slayer to hell.

Spike threw him into the sunlight because he got in his way.

Buffy's sister. The key.

Because she simply wasn't there. There is a key and it needed to be hid, at the same time protected... so monks preformed a spell, which made sure the key was protected and hid. The key became Buffy's sister. Because Buffy is a slayer she can always protect her and she is hid as an average human being. The spell, preformed by the monks, happened at the beginning of Season 5 so she wasn't in the first 4 seasons. If you are wondering why people didn't ask, "Why has she just come now?" the answer is that people's memory were altered to believe Dawn was always there that she is real, but she isn't! She isn't real she is just what you believe her to be. It is pretty hard to contemplate. The question now is who she is being hidden from [Glory] and why is she being hidden???
