All That Remains The darkness surrounds me All light has been extinguished I lie on my bed and think of the past Of all the people I have known When I was young I was so happy I would play all day I knew lots of people As time has past I lost touch with them one by one Now I lie on my bed surrounded by darkness Alone with my thoughts They are all I have for company I am lost in the darkness Can you hear me calling? The night’s pass The month’s pass Time drifts by I have been calling out in the darkness For centuries now My ghost is all that remains Unable to rest Calling out in the darkness Waiting for an answer But there is no reply There is nobody around to hear my calls My ghost is all that remains Calling out in the darkness Doomed to exist alone forever
