The company was founded 27 years ago by Doug Mitchell, with one Leyland Bear six- wheeler. The fleet has now grown to eleven tractor units, an eight- wheeler and around twenty trailers.

The business is very much a family affair now, with Doug's wife Rosehelen looking after much of the office work, and their son Clive taking responsibility for much of the distance work.
