Most of you who are interested in the Titanic will know the sad story of the Allison family. The loss of Mr & Mrs Allison and their little daughter Lorraine with the added poignancy of the survival of their infant son Trevor along with his nurse. Many of you will have read in certain recent books the rather more sensational story of his saviour Nurse Cleaver - but do you know the real truth?

Had she really murdered a child as Mr Donald Lynch of the Titanic Historical Society states in his book? Was she in any way responsible for the death of the Allison family? Could she have played a part in the appearance many years later of a woman claiming to be Lorraine Allison, her former charge?

Some of you may have been quite surprised to see what has been said. How has such a story not come to light before now? You may have been surprised, I was deeply shocked - justifiably I feel - after all I am Nurse Cleaver's daughter. It is in the light of these appalling allegations of murder, deception and taking part in attempted extortion, to name just a few, that my search for the truth began and also how I came to write a book - something I had previously never envisaged doing.

Through my book I am inviting all those who genuinely care to share with me in my discoveries.
