Optical Engineering Design

Diverse designs and analyses complex optical systems. Our optical engineering designs are the basis of luminaires, automotive lighting and general lightguide applications. Our expertise has been central to the successful manufacture of plastic optical parts including acrylic and polycarbonate guides and lenses as well as reflectors coated onto ABS.

Lightguides
By optimising the lenses on the end of the guide, and the shape of the reflecting sides, we are able to provide good overall efficiency and even illumination.

Luminaire Controllers
We have been designing and analysing luminaires including those that use injection moulded or extruded ABS or polycarbonate controllers. Careful design of these controllers allows maximisation of the spacing between luminaires, reducing installation costs, improving profitability and saving energy. Applications:
