Landing lights for airfields are demanding in design in that their performance is critical both from the point of view of the projected flux levels as well as the imaging performance required to give a sharp transition for the pilot's glide path indication. This combination of performance and the projection angles requires the use of anamorphic lenses optimized specifically for this task. The colours projected have to meet a demanding specification. DIVERSE can synthesize colour filters which can meet most requirements, taking account of the colour temperature of the source.
Each of the above designs have been undertaken for market leaders in aircraft lighting. Our unique photometric software provides detailed lighting performance prediction maps, exactly matching the point by point measurement that is undertaken when testing the final product.
