Standard and air cooled ferrite probes to measure surfaces at temperatures up to 300°C

The Diverse ferrite detector is suitable for measuring the ferrite number of stainless steels including super duplex alloys. This hand held, battery powered meter with its rugged probe is designed for laboratory and workshop use.

The Ferrite Number is recommended by the Welding Research Council and the International Institute of Welding as a measure of the ferrite content of alloys and weld deposits.

Measurements of the Ferrite Number together with the Ferrite percentage are displayed on the unit ; up to 100 samples can be stored in the unit these can then be sent via an RS232 link to a PC. Optional RS232 cable and PC software for use with the meter is available which enables data to be saved and entered in spreadsheets.

The Software provided with the MF300F Ferrite Meter allows readings to be taken and recorded on a P.C. The software will run on Windows 95, 3.1 and DOS and the data can be further processed using standard spreadsheets.

Ferrite measurements are recorded together with the time and date. Readings can be requested by pressing a key on the meter or directly from the computer keyboard. Alternatively, readings can be taken automatically at regular time intervals.
