wpe3C.jpg (56164 bytes) This Green Man is on the left hand panel to the rear of the pulpit, he is on the right hand quadrant and is the smaller of the two heads. Animal like in appearance, vegetation spews from his mouth.
wpe3A.jpg (62021 bytes) Rood screens can be fascinating in their own right but even more so when they contain a Green Man carving like this one on the left hand quadrant of the right panel, that is to the left of the aisle.
The Church of St. Andrew, Saxthorpe was constructed in Saxon times but the church we see today has gone through many changes in it's history.
