The Band

The Singers

I'm Christina the lead singer.

Music has always inspired me from an early age in my life, as I was brought up around all types of music. Anyway, I love it, and I feel my contribution in life is to use my voice to inspire other people. There is some type of healing for my emotions from singing, and I can express it in a song.

All of my brothers are into music as well - even my mum and dad have a little sing on the karaoke. And I feel I can make a career out of it.

Hi. I'm Charlene, the newest addition to the group.

I am the original Garage girl - I love to shake my thang in the clubs. Joining the group has been a new challenge, adapting to a new style of music. The group is versatile and inviting, combined with funky beats.

I enjoy singing. this is my first live group - normally I have been doing sample vocals for my friends' tracks. This is a fun, lively change.

I'm Matt; I play rhythm guitar and contribute to the vocals.

I'm Marvin, the band leader, keyboard player and vocalist.

I've played in bands and gospel groups most of my life. But it has always been a dream to express myself through my own music. I've watched all the stars on the stages and wanted to be up there with them. I finally felt it was my turn to step up to the mike and make something happen.

I want to make music that will move people. It doesn't matter if I get the fame and the money - I just want to be heard. I want people to enjoy my vibe as much as I like performing for them.

The Musicians

I'm Terry, our lead guitarist.

I spent a long time in Kenya, so I love African music as much as European. My friends and I get together regularly to play circle-dance music from all over the world. I'm also a songwriter, and I've recently released an album What You Going To Do About Me on peoplesound.com.

Music brings me endless happiness and misery, and I want to share these feelings with everyone.

I'm Martin. I play drums.

I've been brought up around soul music, so to play this kind of stuff is a natural progression. R&B music alows you the scope to create and really express yourself - there is a lot to be said for the healing power of song.

I love all styles of music, but I have a particular fondness for rave groove and disco, and anything that makes you want to get up and move!

And I'm Dr. Bass, the band's bass player.

I've been in quite a number of different bands playing songs in many styles, including folk, folk-rock punk, jazz and disco. I'm into almost anything - I get lots of fun from taking part in the Arco Iris latin drumming workshops, or from taking my acoustic bass to an Irish session. What I like best is really expressive music, and music with a really funky rhythm.

I love the present wave of R&B. There's too much exploitation music in the charts, and it is a wonderful change to hear people really expressing their emotions through music.
