On private land above Pantlludw on the North bank of
the Dyfi is this enchanting little lake, Llyn Ruck, surrounded by
rhododendrons, that was built by members of the Ruck family back in the 18th
Century for fishing and family picnics. |

From nearby the lake there are marvellous views of the
Dyfi estuary and the hills on the other side of the valley. |

Although it was a hazy early evening, you can make out
the river at Derwenlas in the left hand picture, and the big bend in the Dyfi
at Glandyfi in the right hand one. |
