The 550 uses small exponential horn cells sharing a common throat and correctly angled relative to one another to ensure an even acoustic distribution, thus overcoming the basic defect of the narrow channel of sound distribution obtainable from a reproducer having only a single flare or mouth opening.
-Constructed from sheet metal with spaces filled with a special non resonant compound.
-Uses either 3 or 6 cells and is available for cabinet (C) or suspension (S) mounting.
-The recommended crossover is 12dB at 1,000Hz to prevent damage to compression units as the horns cut off frequency is 550Hz.
-Each cell mouth opening is 127 x 127 mm
-Acoustic distribution: approximately 20 degrees per cell

The 3 cell version has a 60 horizontal x 20 vertical degree distribution pattern, and the 6 cell version is 60 h x 40 V . Both versions are available for suspension or cabinet mounting . All horns have a a single 2.620 inch threaded (S-type) entry or 1 3/8th inch threaded E type entry.
