My bass cabs are A7 enclosures with AK151 Alnico bass units, the mids are the 12 cell with a selection of drivers, currently some Altec 288c as I prefer these to the S3 vitavox drivers which I also own. The top end is covered by JBL bullets and a slot. All this is driven from Single ended GE211 amps with a valve second order crossover. It has taken many years to finally come to something that can recreate something approaching a live sound, and I am almost satisfied enough to not bother scanning the vintage fares etc too closely!

I have a vintage Garrard 401 c/w Decca Garrot Gold, a Helius Stargate CD spinner driving a full house Perpetual Technologies Up-sampler /Dac combo feeding a full Zero feedback pre – Active system. All this lot is hooked up with silver through out. One or two tweaky bits on the mains feeds (home made) and the whole lot costs as much as a pretty serious sports car, but costs less to run and insure!
