"I do not expect I shall be able to come to Dura Den at Christmas time, as I had hoped to do, but perhaps it may yet be possible. Mr. W. N. Walker (of Caldrum Works) is most anxious to visit the place with you, and so is Jehu. The former is a very fair geologist, and has some ancestral connection with Dura Den. He once told me that it was a grandmother or other female relative of his who first found the fossils, and showed them to Dr. Anderson, the minister."
