Naturalization papers dated 24 May 1904. He made application for homestead (outside of Swift Current, Sask) on 5 Feb 1909 and patents dated 29 Oct 1913. He married Frances on 9 Aug 1915 in the parish of St. Stephen, Swift Current at the residence of a friend. Moved to North Vancouver about 1921. He was unable to make a living on the homestead and had accrued debts he was unable to pay, so like many others of that era he left the farm and went to the west coast looking for work. He lived in North Vancouver, where his last child was born, and listed in the telephone directory in 1922 when his occupation was listed as Northern Construction. By 1926 he was a driver for City Dairy and Produce and by 1944 he was working for Dairyland delivering milk to client's homes. He worked there until his retirement. He lived in Vancouver, Chilliwack and Quesnel where he died 19 Nov 1962.
