WHAT IS IT?

A negative sentence is a sentence which says 'not'.

Example:
I do not like
I will not eat
He did not understand

Instead of 'not' you will sometimes find 'never'.

HOW DO YOU DO IT?

First build your sentence normally with the right tense (If you are not sure about tenses, skip this section and go back to them).

When you have written your sentence, find the verb and write in front of it
'ne' and after 'pas' or 'jamais'.

Example:

I do not eat
Je
ne mange pas.

I never eat
Je
ne mange jamais.
