What are they?
With dedication, work and effort it is indeed possible to learn a language and to produce work which is readily understandable and accurate. However it does not mean that a Spanish person would have expressed him/ herself in the same way! Quite simply Spanish people use a range of expressions which, if they are not essential for the understanding, make the language much smoother. Sometimes they use a complex expression to replace an easy one just because it just 'sounds better' .
To get a grade A you MUST learn to pepper your speech and your writing with these idiomatic expressions. You will find below a selection of them. Memorising them is not enough, you must use them as often as possible and make them yours. Don't learn all of them… learn a few of them and use them time after time! Hopefully you will recognise some of them! If not get going with the dictionary or get your teacher on the act!
