Great Witley PracticeThe Great Witley Practice is a rural dispensing practice 10 miles North West of Worcester. We are a four-partner practice with one partner being part-time (3/4 time) and are responsible for five and a half thousand patients. We have recently expanded our premises to accommodate our excellent Primary Health Care Team including Health Visitor, District Nurse and Attached Social Worker. We are a committed training practice, the current Trainer being Simon Watson but all the partners and members of the team participate in training. Registrars have their own room. Ample time is made available for self directed learning and we encourage Registrars to take the MRCGP examination. There is accommodation on the premises, and when appropriate, the Registrars are expected to do their faire share of on-call. The summer of the Year 2000 saw a change with the retirement of Dr. Rosemary Smart and the appointment of our new partner, Dr. Helen Rosewarne. As a practice we have tried to embrace the changes affecting the Health Service and are participating at all levels within the PCG structure. We like to think of ourselves as a very friendly practice amongst ourselves, with neighbouring practices and consultant colleagues.
