This is a large, fully computerised practice (11.500 patients) situated in central Worcester. We have been a paperless practice for over 3 years. We are a partnership of 5 full-time GPs and a GP Registrar. We are a long established training practice of over 20 years. There are 2 trainers. Other staff include a Practice Manager, Receptionists, Secretaries, District Nurses, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Midwives, 3 Health Visitors, 2 Counsellors and a Social Worker.
There is a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with a good sense of teamwork with weekly team meetings.
The practice building was once a single-handed GP's house, now extended to create a modern medical centre. The Registrar has his/her own room and tutorials are held twice weekly on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
The practice is part of the Primary Care Co-operative for all out-of-hours medical emergencies.
Friday afternoons you will always have off and no weekend work, apart from your share of the Primary Care Co-operative.
We will offer an enthusiastic, well organised training year full of good experience and support from all the partners and no-one is distracted from the practice by out-side commitments.
