I'm not sure whether it's fair to say that the 7.30am games are the worst and that that's a good enough reason to miss them, when it could be that the 7.30am games are fine - it's just that I don't see them and so perhaps tell myself they are the worst in order to justify my preference for sleep. Anyway, didn't see very much of this game at all!
This wasn't pretty though. (They said so in the studio!). It appears to have been the Salif Diao show. Him conceding the first half penalty; he scoring the (simply wonderful; saw it!) equaliser for Senegal - and he getting himself sent off for a terrible leg-breaking tackle. The Senegalese tactic for dealing with being down to 10-men, seemed to be to run into Danes and falling down - hoping to even up the score by getting one of theirs sent off. Didn't work though - and the game ended 1-1, which means that if France (or Uruguay) lose later this morning, then they are out of the competition.
