Cameroon v Saudi Arabia

Cameroon 1 Saudi Arabia 0
I was expecting a massacre!! I thought the Cams would flatten the Saudis and run on to a rout. Wasn't so! What spirit the Saudis showed! And they look so much bigger in the open air! The Saudi coach had abandoned his magnetic tactics board and all was ticketty-boo. In truth, the Saudis had the best chances of the game, but failed to make the most of them. Cameroon's German manager must've had a real go at them at half-time, because they came out in the second half, seemingly wanting to play more - although they never dominated and they never looked like a world beating team. Although every neutral in the ground was cheering on the Saudis, that it should be Cameroon who scored on the 65th minute came as no surprise - that's the way things go. The Saudis are out of the World Cup, except to play their last game against Ireland. This is not a good thought for the Irish, who will have to win that game to have any chance of sneaking a place in the next round. A relaxed, proud and (perhaps) determined Saudi Arabia might make that difficult for them. Let's hope so! :)
