Senegal v Uruguay
Tuesday 11th June 2002 7.30 BST, Suwon
Senegal 3 Uruguay 3
Fadiga (pen) 20, Papa Bouba Diop 26, 38; Morales 47, Forlan 69, Recoba (pen) 89

I didn't watch this game, although it was live on ITV2 and I did see the highlights plus the very end of the match. Very exciting at the end, it seems - as Uruguay only needed to score one more goal to qualify themselves. Pity too, as Senegal's first goal, the penalty, had come about by a disgraceful dive by Diouf; the goalie never touched him. Oh well, Uruguay, a brave fight back, but it wasn't to be. Can't say I'm unhappy about that, because they were pretty poor from what I saw. How surprising that Abreu never scored!!
Senegal will play the winner of Group F, which will either be Argentina, England or Sweden. I rather hope that they get knocked out by whoever meets them (even England), as I really don't like the tactics they adopt. One of the African managers, apparently put his foot in it rather and declared yesterday that "Africans have bad fouls in their genes; they shouldn't be allowed to play football". Oh dear!
