This brought brightness through the mirk!! Not only are the sacres bleues out but they didn't even score a goal!!! :) Bonne game Denmark!!! I KNOW it's not nice to laugh - mais it's payback time for all those interviews where Desailly has been telling us that he is a "european and world champion". Payback time for Barthez too. His arrogance has been insufferable and today he will only be remembered for the close up shots having his bum cheek sprayed with (what looked like) greenfly spray!! Happy jour!!

The French were so desperate, that they slung on Micoud to add his joyeux face to the proceedings - for the first time ever, I pense he actually fitted in somewhere!! Naturellement, the saga of France v Denmark games in major competitions continues to intrigue, each time, the victor going on to win the trophy (Euro '92, Denmark, Euro 2000, France, WC98, France), so can Denmark do it this time? I really doubt that, but it's a thought! Rock on Tommy!!! :) Who IS going to win this WC? It's totally wide open and quite wonderful! How wonderful too to have a couple hours off this morning. Phew!
