Monday 17th June 2002 12.30 BST, Kobe
Brazil 2 Belgium 0
Rivaldo 67, Ronaldo 87

Which team was Brazil? Ach, bravo Belgium - but it wasn't to be. I did a very sensible thing and turned off the TV after Ronaldo's goal. Still, at least the so-called experts realise what I've been saying all along, in that Brazil is no great shakes. Hard luck to Belgium - they really deserved something out of this game. Why on earth Wilmots first half 'goal' was disallowed, will never know. (Was Peter Prendergast got at?). Disappointed too that none of the big blokes thought to give Rivalto a kick or six. Oh well, perhaps England might oblige, but cannot say that I am looking forward to that game one bit. |
