That's that finished with then. I can't feel enraptured for the Brazilians or sorry for the Germans. I would say though that, at times today, one wondered which team was Brazil. Germany played extremely well - but they always had to score first in order to win this game and they just couldn't quite do it. So, good for them for at least bewildering the Brazilians (who seemed as though they expected to walk onto the pitch and be allowed to play as they wanted). Nice studs in the chest, by whoever, on Rivalto too!! (And he still held his head!). I don't know if it would've made much difference if Ballack had played - but, in the end, I thought that if chances had run their way, Germany might well've won this game 4-2. I can't change my opinion (especially on today's showing) that Brazil are very grossly overrated. I doubt they would've won today, if it hadn't been for Kahn. |
