Lemon

1 twist.

Method

Pour sweet vermouth and Campari into a highball glass, over ice cubes. Fill with club soda and stir. Add a twist of lemon peel or garnish with wedge.

Sweet Vermouth

1/2 oz.

Orange Juice

Half of orange

Method

Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Serve with a slice of orange. For a dry Bronx, forego the sweet vermouth.

Method

Stir well over ice cubes in a mixing glass, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve with a glass of ice water.

Method

Pour vermouth and Cynar over ice cubes in an old-fashioned glass, stir and squeeze orange wedge over drink before dropping it into the glass.

Stir vermouth and whiskey with ice and strain into a cocktail glass or mix on the rocks in an old-fashioned glass. Serve with a cherry. See also Rob Roy.

Martini

Method

Stir vermouth and gin over ice cubes in mixing glass. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Serve with a twist of lemon peel or olive, if desired. A sweet Martini can be made with equal parts gin and sweet vermouth. The "traditional" ratio is said to be two parts gin to one part dry vermouth, though this is far from the favoured combinations.
