Pictures of the Ginetta G27 braking system. The size of these pictures is kept deliberately small to speed up download times. If you want a larger better quality image please email me and I will be happy to forward the required pictures to you.

Rear brake caliper and disc fitted to hub. Note that calliper is fitted to the rear of the disc to avoid the calliper fouling the spring and shock absorber.

Front disc and caliper fitted to hub

Brake pipes run in and secured to chassis for front brakes

4 way union providing mounting for brake light switch and piping to front brakes.

3 way union and pipework to rear of chassis. From here flexi pipes feed to rear calipers.

Pedal box installed in the footwell according to Ginettas measurements. As can be seen from the clutch pedals proximity to the tunnel and the gap between the accelerator and brake pedal this is obviously wrong.

After taking my own measurements it was found that Ginettas dimensions were 50 mm out (I wish I could get away with that sort of tolerance in my job!). The bulkhead was re-fibreglassed and the new holes marked out. Note that the hole for the steering column was also 50 mm too low.

Thats much better! The accelerator is closer to the brake than it looks in this photo as no return spring is fitted yet.

Twin master cylinders mounted on the engine bay side of the bulkhead.

Brake fluid reservoir fitted directly above the master cylinders using spacers. A heat shield will be required to protect the reservoir from the exhaust manifold.

Hand brake lever mounted to transmission tunnel

Hand brake cable exits the caliper and runs below the bottom tie rod spacer. I was slightly concerned by how tight the fit is but Ginetta assure me the the SVA examiner will not fail it.
