Alternator bracket fitted. This Ford item must be fitted upside down to give adequate clearance of alternator from chassis.

Alternator fitted. Modification to bracket will be required later to give clearance for bottom radiator hose

Alternator bracket modified by cutting off unused mounting lug which would otherwise chaff the bottom hose.

Ignition coil mounted just ahead of the engine on the chassis cross member.

After trying various sizes the correct alternator belt was finally found.

Electronic ignition module in place on the nearside suspension turret. This position was chosen as it is well protected from road spray.

Spot the deliberate mistake (Ginettas). The dashboard support frame (light grey) is supposed to bolt into the "A" pillar support struts (dark grey) when horizontal. The nearside "A" pillar support had been laminated into place 50 mm too low resulting in a bracket needing fabricating to make up the gap.

The dashboard support frame now in place

Fibreglass dash panel bolted in place after trimming sides. To be removed later for cutting instrument holes and covering. Further pictures of dashboard front will appear in the interior & trim section. Photos of dashboard wiring will appear here.

Wiper motor installed on the bulkhead of the passenger footwell.

Instruments in dash panel and wiring loom in place ready for connection.

Another view of the dash panel waiting for connection of the wiring loom.

Loom connected to instruments and steering column. Some additional wiring will be required for the electronic speedometer.
