The GB3NY - GB3YC Linking Project approved by RA - details below

GB3NY is operated by members of the North Yorkshire Repeater Group

GB3NY was first licensed in 1978 and became operational on the 17th June 1979.  In early 1998 the repeater was moved to it's current location at Oliver's Mount, from which excellent coverage of the town centre is assured.  The repeater uses a mixture commercial and purpose built hardware.  The transmitter and receiver are commercial Pye R460/T460 equipments and the control logic comprises a purpose built microprocessor based control system.  A purpose built DSP audio processor is also employed to mitigate the effects of local radar interference.  Members of the North Yorkshire Repeater Group are committed to maintain the service of GB3NY for the benefit of both local and visiting amateurs.  Current development include the replacement of the existing equipment and linking to the 2M repeater GB3YC.
