If you are from the Gateshead area (and even if you're not!), then do look around our site to find out more about the Air Cadets, and how you could soon be flying high with the ATC...
Our Aims
The aims of the Air Cadet Organisation are:
361 Squadron and the Air Cadet Organisation
There are around 1,000 Squadrons and Detached Flights in the ATC, and over 35,000 cadet members, male and female. There are also approximately 10,000 volunteer adult staff, and although the ATC is sponsored and supported by the Royal Air Force (RAF), we are not a recruiting organisation, and cadets have no obligation to join or to serve in, the RAF or any of the other armed forces.
When and Where? 361 (Gateshead) Squadron meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 1900 hrs to 2115 hrs at our purpose built headquarters at the RFCA (Territorial Army) Centre on Alexandra Road in Gateshead. We are located directly opposite Gateshead Leisure Centre and if you want to find out more about the ATC, or would like to join the squadron, just come along on either of these nights (no appointment necessary), or phone, fax or e-mail. Click here for a map showing where we are, or type your postcode into the "From" box below and click on "Go" for directions and a route map to the squadron.
