New Amateur Radio Course

ANARCCadets and staff from 361 squadron have recently started a Foundation Amateur Radio course with the expert help of The Angel of the North Amateur Radio Club.

The course is running over a number of Tuesday nights and participants are learning about the theory and practice of amateur radio and will qualify for a licence allowing them to operate two-way radios on the to talk to other radio "hams" around the world.

2009 Top Shots

361 Squadron Long Range Sooting Team 2009The 361 squadron shooting team came away triumphant after decisively winning the 2009 Durham/Northumberland Wing Long Range Shooting Competition.

The squadron team scored a total of 104 points, a long way ahead of the team in second place who scored 59 points. Entry in to the competition is open to all 35 squadrons in Durham/Northumberland Wing.
