How to get to Emsworth
By train:
From London's Waterloo station, there is a fast or slow service to Havant. You can also get to Havant from Southampton or Bournemouth. At Havant, change onto a local train service to Emsworth station or catch a bus(see below).
From London Victoria, Gatwick Airport or Brighton stations you can catch a train directly to Emsworth but it can be very slow!
Emsworth station is situated in North Street. Coming out of the station, turn into North Street and walk away from the railway bridge which crosses it. Within five minutes you will arrive at the roundabout marked on the map. Go straight on for the village centre.
For train details, telephone National Rail Enquiries (0345) 48 49 50
By bus:
You can catch a bus from Havant (Nos.27 or 36), Fareham (No.63), Chichester (No.11) or Portsmouth (No.700). There are bus stops east and west of the Emsworth roundabout, and one in St Peter's Square (in the village centre). Please note: not all buses stop in the village centre (St. Peter's Square). You may have to get off at a bus stop near the roundabout - ask your bus driver.

By car:
From the M3 or A3(M), take the M27 motorway in the direction of Chichester (east-bound). The Emsworth turn-off is very shortly after the turn-off for Havant (don't miss it, as the next turn-off is Chichester, 9 miles on!). From the motorway slip-road, follow the road signs for Emsworth. Emsworth centre is about 2 miles from the motorway turn-off.
An alternative (prettier, but slower) route if you're coming down the A3(M) is to take the B2149 turn-off. Follow the road until you get to the mini roundabout at Rowlands Castle, then take the second exit (forking left) down Whicher's Gate Road (B2148). Following this road will eventually lead into Emsworth, under the railway bridge and into North Street.
From the Chichester direction, take the A27, coming off at the Emsworth turn-off and follow the road signs for Emsworth. The slower, but more picturesque alternative, is to take the A259 which will bring you to the Emsworth roundabout.
