Les Freke originally trained as a furniture designer but chose to study silver and jewellery at Loughborough College of Art and Design.
For to years he worked as a designer for a leading silversmith company in London, but missing the pleasure of making his own designs he moved to North Cornwall in 1971, to set up his own
workshop
As well as producing a wide range of jewellery including exclusive 18 ct gold wedding and engagement ring sets, he also makes small silver items from spoons and boxes to salvers and
goblets. He enjoys working to commission.
He enjoys working with silver and semi-precious stones, but also likes the richness of gold so that many of his individual pieces combine the two metals.
