Malcolm's glass has a distinctive style and he enjoys making bowls, vases, dishes and plates that have clean, smooth, simple shapes. All the glass is free blown, no moulds are used to shape the glass only wet newspaper, wooden blocks and the traditional glassmakers tools. Since moving to Cornwall in 2001, as well as the figurative work that he is well known for, he has been exploring the watery theme of the sea and the sky in all its moods just using colour, softly blended together. |
