Oriel lives in the beautiful Isles of Scilly, from which she takes much of the inspiration for her work.

Originally trained in traditional leaded light techniques at Reigate College of Art in the 1970’s, she now also produces “Tiffany” and fused glass as well as the larger stained glass commissions. She is presently making four windows for the little church on the island of Bryher.

She loves experimenting in her kiln and this helps to keep her work vibrant and original, sometimes mixing different techniques of traditional glass painting and lead work with the fused glass.

Because of her enthusiasm for her chosen medium, Oriel has recently been invited to guest lecture at the Falmouth College of Art.
