Healing:  An interview with Alan and Andrea Grieveson.

1. I understand the type of healing you do is different from what could be called the standard techniques?

Alan:

What is the standard technique? There are many different forms of healing, but they all try to achieve a result that is beneficial to the subject.

The healing that is done through me is what we call sound healing. It is not done by playing music, but whilst I am in trance. The spirit healers that use my physical body to carry out the healing, were apparently, itinerant healers when incarnate.

They were trained from the age of 5 years in a 'school of healing'. After passing many tests at the end of their learning, they set off to travel wherever communities needed healers.

They also acted as shamen, holding community meetings to help sort out any problems that had arisen. They carried all they possessed in a bag and that was their life.

They are not ‘hands- on’ healers, they generate sounds that have a wide range of notes and cause in most people a variety of sensations.

2. How do you think the healing works?

Alan: We believe that the physical body has what you could call an ‘energy field’, that is specific to that body. The ‘Spirit’ on the other hand has a different ‘energy field’, and, for the incarnation of the individual to work successfully there has to be harmony between the two. We believe that a lot of ailments are due to disharmony between these differing energy fields.

What the healers try and do when performing healing is to reharmonise the energies. This will not however last long if the subject does not remove the cause, this is usually to my mind an attitude or habit pattern that needs changing.

For example someone who is very fixed in their attitude may develop arthritis or rheumatics, or someone who will never listen to anyone or anything, may develop hearing problems. The longer they persist in their attitude the harder the problem is to remove.

3. What about someone born with a medical condition?

Alan: this can be a bit of an emotive  issue, especially since a football coach or manager lost his job by making a comment on this point. However I(Alan) think he was somewhere close to having a valid point. In my mind when a foetus is developing, the ‘Spirit’ may well start to take an interest in its new ‘host’. If the ‘Spirit’ has strong energies. It possible that it can affect the very delicate balance of the energies, hormones, chemical reactions call them what you will, of that foetus. This could in due course produce some disability.

According to our belief on this, the ‘Spirit’ that is faced with this must learn to become less aggressive or strong. It also has to learn to achieve what it can within the limitations of the body. Unfortunately some people take this personally, but that is a problem for them to over come. There are very few human physical bodies that are perfect.

Of course many people in this situation do extremely well and can achieve much more than some of their more able counterparts. Sadly there are others that do not, and it is possible that if they tried to be more independent - doing as much as possible for
themselves without bitterness, life would really improve for them. After all, in this technological world there are many opportunities they can get involved with.. Karma effectively says you get out of life in proportion to what you put in.

4. So the healing is done whilst Alan is in trance?

Andrea: Yes that is so.

5. You talk about ‘healers’ in plural - how many are there?

Alan: The spirit healers in question have been working through men for  the Past 20  years and we still occasionally get new ones through. Andrea is able to recognise each of these healers, and she can tell when one has not been before.

Their names all end in TIAN for example ‘Patian’ - and just recently a lady had a trance sitting then healing, and Andrea was told telepathically by the healer that he was one of a group who was waiting to work through the lady he had just given healing to!

6. Do you cure everyone that comes to you?
Andrea: You cannot cure everyone. There are those people that for one reason or another do not really want to be cured, one possible reason is that they enjoy the attention they are given. There are those that need the experience their ill health is bringing them, so while that need is there then so will the problem be. This should not be confused with want, as you could say nobody wants to be ill, but they may need to be, to learn something. If you doubt this just consider how many people take time off work when they have a sniff of a cold or a headache, or are always at the doctors, some seem to enjoy being ill!

7.  What are some of the successes you have had?

Andrea:

It is a fact that nobody calls on a healer when they are well, so feed back is not always available no matter how dramatic the result. Having said that we have some successes that stand out, that we know of. Firstly there was a young boy, around three
years old that had a cancer of the eye, whose grandfather - a friend of ours, asked if we
could help after the hospital had more or less said he could not be cured.

The healer carried out the healing, during which the boy went to sleep on his mother’s knee - something he very rarely did, because he was hyper- active. They were told that he would lose the eye but it was a small price to pay. The main concern was that it could spread to both eyes.

He subsequently went into hospital for chemo therapy, the Grandfather tells us he was the only child to survive in that ward. He had eventually to have the eye removed, and when asked what colour glass eye he wanted - said ‘PURPLE’!

However, he lived and when we last heard was doing very well at a normal school. Interestingly enough, it seems that the spirit of this boy was very strong and needed to have a much gentler approach in order not to cause any other damage to the body.

Another who had a cancer that the doctors had told her was inoperable, her ex - husband introduced us and she had healing. Six weeks later, she had a check up at the hospital to monitor the condition. The scan was clear. Over the years we have had quite a few similar cases where people have been written off by the medical people, and who have been healed.

We never promise that our healers are able to cure anyone. We just offer the healing and hope it helps.

8. There is a debate about charging for healing, where do you both stand on this point?

Andrea: Up to now, we have not charged for healing where people come to us, but where we have had to travel to the patient, then we have asked for our expenses.

Even if you believe it is a God given Gift, you still have to live and pay your bills. Those that do it professionally, who donate all their time, need to charge, it is their income.

There is also the point that people in general do not value anything if it is free, so I tend to feel that people should be happy to contribute something.

9. Do you think people should go to doctors as well as healers?

Alan: People in general have free will, the choice is theirs to attend doctors or not. Andrea and myself have not attended a doctor in 20 years and will probably be healthier staying away. For those that say we are lucky, firstly, they do not know our history, and secondly, I do not believe in luck as something of a commodity that some have and some do not. You create your own luck, your own happiness and your own misery.

Apart from the sound healers, we also have several other spirit healers with us. Andrea once, whilst I was out at work, was removing old paint from a door frame in our old cottage, and got a large splinter stuck in the skin across the top of her knuckle. The
splinter was quite long and wide. After trying to remove it with her tweezers, she sat down at the kitchen table, draped a tissue over the knuckle and said to our spirit doctors ‘Please can you remove this from my finger?’

She then tried to relax herself mentally and physically, and, after 20 minutes gingerly removed the tissue. There was no sign of it anywhere.

Later on that evening her finger was very swollen and I went into trance so that she could get some advice for the wound. She was told the kind of poultice to put on and, in a few days’ time, her knuckle was back to normal - but with a ridge of skin across the top - to remind her not to be so careless!
