It loaded up very quickly, and I went from link to link very easily.  I found that the flickering background eventually tired my eyes, but then, I was going right through the whole site.  You've packed it with useful information, such as where the classes are, who teaches at them and where they are located.  All in all I think you deserve  a thumbs up!

Nice to hear from you again. The new website is looking great, I had to get my sunglasses out ha ha. Well we have thought about the weekend in Torquay but, it is a very long way for us to go really , I will discuss it again with the girls , we are off to Mark Caley's Clacton festival next weekend which we go to each year so perhaps we can get a chance to discuss it then, we was only saying the other night we need another weekend away :) we are going to Clacton again in November so we need something in between!. it will be just the journey that will put us off :( after our nightmare journey home from Liverpool a couple of years ago it put us off a bit.  Any way we shall see, perhaps you can sent me some prices & stuff ( if you dont mind).

Getting back to your website I would love a link on your website, description !! well we have step sheets, a jukebox, dance reviews, top ten, etc I don't mind what you describe us as ( hey whithin reason) hee hee.I will put a link on my website to yours as well.

I'm very sorry that as usual I've taken yonks to reply to your very entertaining e-mail (i'm referring of course to the web site) I didn't reply straight away because I was trying to make up my mind about what I was going to do at half term (it's the 17-21st). After some faffing i've decided on coming for a couple of days, but at the tail end of it because I've got somethings on the first few days.  The entire household here was very entertained by your website (Josie, aged 1 was particularly fascinated). I'm sure that if we were line dancing enthusiasts in Wiltshire we'd be very intrigued to find out more.

Hi-
It was wonderful to meet you both while you were on vacation in the USA..

My class of Seniors have been telling me over and over again how impressed they are with you. We were thrilled that you joined us and were excited to watch you "strut your stuff" for us after class. I wish the day was longer and that we had met earlier so that we could've danced together at one of the clubs here in Connecticut (I teach at Illusions in Wolcott). I look forward to a new friendship with you and seeing you again. We loved your "Diamond" shirts too.
This is a wonderful website - What a lot of time & work !!!! I didn't have time to check all the links yet and I will take another look next week when I get my new computer set up.  I will be trying your dances when I get some free time to learn them and I will be sending you some more things to share. So glad you enjoyed my easy little dances "Taking Time" and "Fire and Ice". Others of mine can be found on

Thanks so much for joining our class and for mentioning me on your website too !!! Feel free to share any of the cues I gave you and please stay in touch.
Thanks
Hugs to you both...

Hi

Im a Cornish lady who is now living in Salisbury with my fourteen year old daughter and would love to learn to line dance......but am not having much luck at locating a local group. Would you know of any contacts in my area please?  Being on my own I would love to get some exercise, meet some new people and listen to the music I love!

Many many thanks Happy Christmas  Sharon

Dear Gordon

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I will certainly give your friend Linda Brooks a ring (although I'll wait until after Christmas now!!!!) So lovely to talk to someone who knows Cornwall! I get very homesick, a part of me would love to move back but this area has become my daughters home now so I'm very torn - hence I'm trying to make the best of my life here and now! I'm from right down the end of Cornwall - my Fathers side coming from Mousehole, we lived around Hayle,  St.Ives and Redruth area. You seemed to be located in Mid-Cornwall, a beautiful part also. I hope you get a chance to visit from time to time?!

I think that's why I'm so strongly pulled to the line-dancing (this is going to sound very strange!) but its not just the dancing, its the people- the down to earth friendliness. Cornwall is a very friendly place, I have found Salisbury to be quite cold and aloof and find it quite isolating at times.

Kind Regards

Sharon x

Hi Gordon,

Just looking at your new dance Heart and Soul.  I love the song by Modern Talking and I plan to teach the dance.  Just want to make sure that I understand the restarts.  I have no problem with the first restart.  But for the second restart, the step sheet says the Next time you start the dance at the 12:00 wall, does that mean the time that you do the restart on the 12:00 wall, dance the first 32 counts then restart again, or do the whole 12:00 wall, then 6:00 wall, then the third time on the 12:00 wall do the first 32 counts then restart???  Just want to double check before I teach it.

Also, is there a typo in the step sheet.  Section 5 reads - Point Touch, Sailor Step in situ, Point Touch, Sailor step with Quarter Turn left.   What does "in situ" mean???

Thanks - Millie Dusha x  (From San Francisco Bay Area)

I saw your article in Carol Cravens Newsletter today and since I am a very big fan of the music put out by Modern Talking, I had to check out your website and get the step sheet for Heart And Soul. A lot of the things on your website would not download for me at this time, but maybe the next time. You have a huge site and I want to be able to see it all. I was able to download the step sheet and would very much like to take you up on the offer to email me the correct track for the dance. I ahve been able to get a few of their cds and play them all the time, some of the cds do have the song, but I have no idea if it is the right track. I would very much appreciate having you send it to me.. Thank you so very much..

First time at your web site---what a lovely one!---I must say that all the dances you have picked as your favourites are also mine,  past and present! what a coincidence!--its nice to meet someone with the same taste in dances!  Continue your good work--I am not an instructor but I have been dancing for 10 or more years--I will suggest your new dance Heart and Soul to my teachers--they usually appreciate my recommendations.

Hi Gordon,
just visited your spectacular website!  It is truly the best I have ever seen. I didn't even realize how long I was involved going thru it this morning. (am now late for an appointment).....but who cares!.Have only been in touch with you for a short time from picking up the comments on your dances and downloading the step sheets. (and then taking advantage of your kindness in offering the music).  You and your wife are truly a super couple.  Visited your guest room and read every single entry.  I would have been humbled to sign it after all the very well known dancers who have signed it..........but......couldn't see a cursor to start my typing. (please don't laugh).  Anyway, maybe this mail will at least let you know what I thought of it. You are really a very
special man.  Thank you always for what you contribute to the line dancing family all over the world.

most sincerely,

SissyB  (Eadie Mascaro)

Hi Gordon:

Congratulations on your new HIT....FLAMES OF LOVE! My students LOVED your dance and the music! It was easy for all of my classes, even with the full turns we tired it both ways, with the walks and then with the turns....they did it all and enjoyed the dance very much. It is wonderful to have fun, easy dances that the AVERAGE student can enjoy, without so many restarts and or tags, and the spinning turns (your turns were easy and you also let them know if they don't want to turn just walk forward) which is great.  Thank you again for thinking of the Instructors (Me), you also had perfect timing, as we are back in session this week after the long holidays. I will share the dance with other Instructors..... It was fun giving the classes a HIT DANCE to start the New Year with and to enjoy GREAT MUSIC!

Keep up the good work.

Thank you again.

Hi Gordon,

I stay in Cape Town, South Africa and started Line Dancing in July last year.  Suffice to say I'm hooked and really can't get enough of it.  Cruising line dancing sites on a free evening has also become a happy pastime.  Your site is really terrific - the background music is super and from what I've seen so far, it's very informative.  I haven't been through your entire site  yet - I have a 56k dial up modem so things happen slowly.  But I have it under favourites and will be visiting again soon. My favourite dance is "Don't feel like dancing", with "Black Horse" a close second.  The most challenging dance for me so far is "Pumping for love" - I perpetually miss the 3rd tag.

Regards
Lornagh

Thank you for the wonderful dance and beautiful music "SENZA UNA DONNA".....Wow!!! You have a BIG HIT on your feet : > ) My classes love it! Thanks so much....I will let you know how my other students like the dance. Especially....a big thank you for not having Tags or Restarts...my students complain that they just want to dance to the beautiful dances without stress of thinking about tags and restarts and tags and restarts and tags and restarts! : ( sorry I get carried away with "their comments".

Congratulations on another hit!

Your website is awesome. Thanks for the step sheet. I'll try it out. I'm teaching in Reading, Pa at the Tim Gillis Dance Weekend. If you have anything that is beginner and country, let me know. I'm looking for a new easy country linedance to teach at this event.

Thanks again

Just wanted to put in a word for Gordon Timms and his dances and music.  He doesn't seem to get much notice, but his dances are the best:  Shadows On The Wall, Bolero (great dance), Senza Una Donna (Without A Woman), Flames of Love, and  his new one, Long Way To Paradise.  He seems so gifted in putting dances to great music and they flow so well.  Check out his website:  http.//website.lineone.net/~gordon.bds.  You will be pleasantly surprised.

Hi Gordon, Mahalo nui for AS TIME GOES BY. we are ending the dance at step 40  w/steps  & 8 ending as a quarter turn facing the 12 o'clock wall.   looking forward to October for "In This Life" ...  "Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary"  to both of you.  No, we haven't tried FEELS LIKE LOVE yet. music sounds mmmm disco????  probably need to slow the music down a bit .  we are working on the smoothness to the ending of  SHADOWS ON THE WALL and will be practicing what you suggested.  oh,  we slipped in I STILL BELIEVE, and  plan to slip in ALL THE WAY (WITH YOU)  and NO TIME AT ALL. we are moving at a moderate pace maybe even semi-slow.  enjoyed FLAMES OF LOVE tremendously.  BOLERO beautiful  but ....    Mahalo. :)  Juliet

Hi Gordon  here's an update. group prefer to do the last count of 8 to "Shadows" as written. they are  doing a good job at it too.  We've also done I STILL BELIEVE, ALL THE WAY (WITH YOU), NO TIME AT ALL  and   LIVIN' ON LOVE. LIVIN' ON LOVE was enjoyed so much by one of the people in the group that she asked to tech it in one of her other classes. they enjoyed it as much as she did.  planning to do FEELS LIKE LOVE sometime down the road.  you know, i think because of your years as a ballroom dancer (i read your website before i sent you my 1st e-mail asking for a new step sheet for AS TIME GOES BY..) that you know how to create dance steps that are comfortable and enjoyable to every level of dancers and most importantly picking such terrific music. As for the shirt, maybe it should be part of the AS TIME GOES BY...    Stepsheet. Thank you. Juliet

Sambarosa...I went on line and printed the  step sheet for this dance  from YIPEE.  This dance has already been done by 2 other groups here maybe 3.
We did this dance today for the 1st time, and it went very well until the 2 RESTARTS.  an instructor  who previously taught it to her group was present, and  said there is a 5th wall; i.a., 1st restart is okay but the 4th wall you do the whole dance (from step 1 to 64)  and at the end of this rotation you do the 4 count tag..on the 5th  wall (or 5th rotation???)  is where you do the restart after count 48. Also, her step sheet indicates a 5th wall and the step sheet i have do not have  a 5th wall.  also she says her step sheet has a flower in the upper right corner that indicates  (I guess) that her step sheet is the real/ right one  This is how she was taught by another instructor and how she has taught it to her group.  I checked with a few people  and their step sheet is the same as mine and two of them understands your notation the same as me, the 3rd, no comment..

Could you please put me straight on this because it was quite shocking that there is no 5th wall (rotation ?) mentioned on Yipee's step sheet unless i misinterpreted it or forgot to read between the lines. HA !  OR, PLEASE SEND TO ME THE RIGHT STEP SHEET SO IT CAN BE DONE CORRECTLY. I HOPE YOU WILL REPLY IN TIME FOR THE MONDAY CLASS.  FRIDAY,  the 17th, is a STATE Holiday so nobody has classes on this day.    AUWE (TOO BAD, ETC.)

Until i get this straightened out, the group is going to do it with  a 5th wall restart whether i like it or not because some of her students are also attending this class.  I HOPE YOU ARE NOT ON A TRIP. LOOKING FORWARD TO AN IMMEDIATE REPLY.  jmp  HUMPH

Hello Gordon:

My name is Eddie and I am one of Sally George's Students. Today in class she mentioned that you were not feeling well and hadn't been able to dance for a week.
That rather got me busy to drop you a note that I have been thinking about writing for several months. Rather ashamed to say, time just got away from me, but I haven't stopped thinking about you and your wonderful dances you send to Sally.  I'm still rather new, at dancing. It has always been a love that I never could express or had the opportunity until I retired. By accident I found the first class and really liked it and down the line, Sally asked me to come to her class. I'm just getting to the part where I like some dances better then others and can feel the difference in choreography. Shadows on the Wall was one of my first favorites.
I want to thank you for creating "Bolero" for Sally. I only wish you could of seen her smile and sparkle, when she was teaching us that dance. Everyone really liked it and we took a little time to get it down, but we got it tags and all. That was my first tags and they really fit that music.
We almost have Senza Una Donna down and again it is a fun dance and fits the music. We only meet twice a week, so it takes us a little time to get it down and memorized. Plus we are working on Long way to Paradise. I like that one, too....but the latest one "As Time Goes By" you out did yourself.  I think we may have to change your name from Rhinestonecowboy to Smoothcowboy! Your dances flow and allow one to sway into the dance. I think you can tell I dance for relaxation and exercise. Your dances are always enjoyable. Sure glad I don't have to pick a favorite!
One last thing before I sign off. Thank you for your kind words about our Country...These are troubled times and it is nice to hear something good for a change. Sometimes it gets very sad to watch the evening news. Hope all is going well over in the UK and we all care about you and your Country over here, too.
Again many thanks for the beautiful dances. All the best to you and your family and may you be back dancing soon.
Sincerely,
Eddie

Dear Gordon:

We have been learning your new Waltz and what can I say........but it is
SMOOTH ALL THE WAY!
You out did yourself. The waltz is beautiful and just makes one feel like the are floating while dancing it. We are dancing it to Famous Last Words of a Fool and you just float around the floor.  Thank you for another wonderful dance.  Today we did some request and one was "Shadows On The Wall" and doing it again after quiet awhile. It made me think that is was something like one you would do....and sure enough it was another one of your dances....Yes, you have a smooth rhythm and combination of steps in your dances that is very special. Your lady must be a wonderful inspiration. I hope you'll both be able to dance for a long time into the future...
Sally mentioned to me today that you got back from your trip OK and that your back is feeling good again. Congratulations! that is great news.
Take care and keep on dancing....
Sincerely,
Eddie

Hi Gordon:

Thank you for the music for Solitaire, (also for your latest dance FOR A REASON). I taught SOLITAIRE  to my classes yesterday and today.  All the reactions were the same,  BEAUTIFUL DANCE AND GREAT MUSIC.....some did not know who Andy Williams was, but thought his music was wonderful.  As you know I teach at the college and have lots of  younger students.    On both days I had many, many students come up to me and say they appreciate all the wonderful dances (with great music)  that I teach them.  My Line Dance classes are always packed to capacity, and if I am so bold.....a large following.  Along with the younger students,  I also have lots of teachers and staff in my classes too and they just love all my dances that I 'select' to teach!  Thanks Gordon for your help in giving me the 'newest' dances and sharing the music, I appreciate your kindness.

Thanks for letting me know the change in  FOR A REASON, It is lucky that I ran out of time in todays class or I would have taught this too.

Again, thank you.  I will let you know how the classes like your ''''''latest'''''!

 Dear Gordon,

Today when I went to class two women had to tell me this about you.  They both say you are one of a kind, the best there is and that they LOVE dancing to your creations.  They could not stop talking about how your music selections and dance routines are so wonderful.   One of them said to tell you she thinks you are a genius!

We did 'Tijuana Sunrise'. a new dance for the class which a guest instructor taught.  I mentioned to them that you had sent me a brand new dance and they got excited but I had to also tell them I have yet to get the music and also the step sheet.  Actually would like to pass on what you generously sent but need to go to my daughter's house first.  Hopefully I can do it by Thursday else this instructor has to wait till next week.  She does not have a computer so relies on me for dances and suggestions at times.

Her own class in another part of town will commence in two weeks so she won't be able to attend the class at the Ala Wai soon because she teaches on the same days.  Once in a while I go to dance there when I have something to give her.

You've made a great impression here!  Hope you are smiling!

Audrey

Aloha Gordon,   I pulled up the step sheet for your new dance and really liked it. I'm having a problem getting the music. I tried casa musica and  still couldn't find it. Also tried I Tunes. Where else would you suggest I look?  Thanks for all the great dances, I've taught many of them and they just keep getting better.  Mahalo, Sharon

SO I SENT SHARON THE MUSIC TRACK!    'NO ME DIGAS ADIOS' by AZUCAR MORENO  for my dance "DON'T SAY GOODBYE"

Mahalo!!   I love the music, it's just what  I was hoping for.  I teach ballroom and latin classes as well as line dance and this music is so exciting I can't wait to play it for the Samba class.  I will let you know how the dance goes over, they have really enjoyed the other dances of your's that I have taught.  Audrey has been so great to share you with us and we really appreciate your work.  Hope your back is getting back to normal, we don't like to be away from our dancing for long, do we?  Mahalo again, I must get busy and get it down tonight,. Aloha, Sharon
