Welcome to my Web site for The FITZJOHN name.

When I started my research in 1975 my surname seemed quite rare. As I traced my ancestors and found others, not linked to my family tree, I made a note of them, (just in case). Over the years I recorded some 30,000 events for Fitzjohn names: Births marriages deaths christenings and burials, census data occupations, wills, court cases, property deeds, news articles, photos, maps, and documents. Having compiled all this data I attempted to link as many people and events together into family groups to find out where we came from and if we had any common ancestry.

Now at last I have opened this doorway onto the Web to share my data with you and ask for your contributions of information to put some flesh onto the bones of all these people. I hope my data can help you to fill in the gaps in your research and would welcome your input to enhance the data and give your ancestors their small place in history and preserve their memory on-line.
