11th East Sussex Scrabble Tournament
Organised by South Downs Scrabble Club

DATE: Saturday, 18th March, 2006. Registration commences at 9:00 am for a scheduled 10:00 am start. It is essential that ALL PLAYERS ARRIVE AND REGISTER BY 09:45 am as computer pairings cannot be determined until all players have checked in.
VENUE: Hailsham Community Hall, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 2AE.
The Hall is adjacent to Wealden Council Offices in the centre of town. There is ample car parking and easy wheelchair access.
COST: Entry fee, £14 (deduct £2.00 if an ABSP member and another 50p if you bring a chess clock and are prepared to lend it to others). Free refreshments in the form of tea and coffee are available between each game, but lunch is not provided.
FORMAT: ABSP game rules apply and are available on request. Six games will be played, 25 minutes per player, per game. There will be approximately, a 15 minutes break between games. Chess clocks must be used, so please bring your own if you have one. The Tournament will be ABSP rated and is open to all players of any standard; it will be divided into either 2 or 3 divisions, depending on the number of entries received. Any player may request to participate in a higher division, but players will be placed at the discretion of the Organiser. We also reserve the right to adjust the size of the divisions and to refuse entries.
PRIZES: There will be cash prizes and certificates in each division. The amount awarded will depend on the number of entrants to the tournament.
