Academic Year

Go to school and live in your teacherís home!

Elementary and High School programme

Students on this programme attend The Old Grammar School, Lewes ( the school day. They attend lessons in all National Curriculum subjects according to their age and ability. Students live in their teacherís home so they spend evenings and weekends with the family. They are part of the family and have to speak English all the time. As our host families are also teachers they give one hour per day formal English Language teaching / help with homework and many hours per week informal help and conversation to our students. This is esential for good progress in both the English Language and National curriculum schoolwork.

All our host families live in comfortable houses in safe, pleasant areas in Mid-Sussex. The families welcome our students into their homes and treat them like one of the family. Our students are taken to school either in the car by the family or on the school bus.

We welcome musical children and try to place them with a family who also has a love of music. We visit the students either at home or at school to check on progress. We can send e-mail and reports, by request, to studentís parents. Students receive end of term reports in all subjects and a certificate of attendance each term.
