INSCRIPTIONS IN THE CHURCH
Monuments 2 and 3 are no longer in the church, but are listed in Volume 7 of Collectanea Topographica et Genealogica (1841).
1. (Floor tablet) Here lyeth buried ye bodye of ELIZABETH ye daughter of WILLIAM & ELIZABETH GREENE, cittizenes of London, who rendered up hir spirit to Him that gave it ye 12th daye of November 1658.
2. (Floor tablet) In this vault resteth ye bodies of THOMAS
EED who died September 1742 aged -9 years.
Also THOMAS son of ye above THOMAS EED by ELIZ his wife (who died)
September the 12th (17--) aged 22 years.
3. (Floor tablet) Hic jacet SAMUEL filius SAMUELIS .... BLUNDELL qui in Dei manus .... animam efflavit vicessimo (secundo) die Maii ao 1663, aetatis (suae sep)timo .... dimidio bonae .... et eximiae spei puer ad .... ira jacent ante sepultae .... sorores ipso natu. .... Sarah Avicia.
4. (North wall of chancel) In memory of FRANCIS COLE who departed
this life 29th December 1865 aged 78 years.
Also of JANE wife of the above FRANCIS COLE who fell asleep in
Jesus March 15th 1886 aged 79 years.
5. (North wall of chancel) Sacred to the memory of JOHN-ANGAS second son of FRANCIS & JANE COLE of Odiham who died September 13th 1844 aged 7 years.
6. (North wall of chancel) Sacred to the memory of SARAH wife of the Revd STEPHEN DAVIES D.C.L. who died September 2nd 1842 aged 70 years.
7. (South wall of chancel - wooden panel) In love and thankfulness for the short but radiant lives of ALISON and MICHAEL BLYTH who died together on 3rd October 1950. These furnishings and other hangings were given by their parents.
8. (North wall - brass plate) In loving memory of WILLIAM MARTIN
HARRIS who died 11th Decr 1906 aged 63.
Also of his son JAMES MARTIN HARRIS who died at Vancouver B.C.
28th May 1908 aged 27.
9. (North wall) In proud & loving memory of NICHOLAS VAN MOPPES of Well, lost at sea in the aircraft accident off Nice on the 3rd of September 1979 aged 42 years.
10. (South wall) In memory of Sir J. EVERARD HOME, Bart, C.B., F.R.S., who died on board H.M.S. Calliope at Sydney N.S.W. (where his remains are deposited) 1st November 1853 aged 55 years. Erected by three officers who served under his command in H.M.S. North Star.
11. (South wall - brass plate) To the beloved memory of ETHEL FRANCES LAMPORT M.D. of Well Manor and of Bow, London, who fell asleep December 27th 1914.
12. (Window in north wall) To the glory of God and in loving memory of JOHN KEITH FALCONER, Lieut Hants Yeomanry, killed in action 31st July l9l7 aged 20.
13. (Window in west wall) Erected by his children to the memory of JAMES HARRIS who died Feb 14th 1862.
14. (In the chapel) This chapel is dedicated to the glory of God and the memory of the men of Long Sutton & Well and Lord Wandsworth College who died in the service of their country.
