| MARTIN (1589) Transferred from Wiltshire to Hampshire in 1895 Martin Monastery and Church - photograph from Tin Tabernacles - In 1901, Roman Catholic Cistercian monks set up a monastery and erected a tin church next to it. They stayed until 1920 and the church was then sold and moved to Bulford Camp as the garrison church. The graveyard was cleared with those buried being moved elsewhere.
