A very clean farm yard with lots
of gratings, diverters etc to separate the "clean" water
from the "dirty" water |

farm was visited later in the year....10th Oct.2005
A
note from Ian Semple:-
"When you
visited our farm recently several farmers in your group requested details
on volumes of waste production to be handled on the farm...

Dirty
Water Production...... This is a major concern!
Silo 1(37* 13.6*0.55m) = 276m3
Silo 2 (28*10.6*0.55m) = 163m3
Yard behind Dairy Unit = 423m3
TOTAL =862M3/! 89.000 Gallons
per year
I ask this question
can I keep this yard clean so this means that I don't have to store this
large amount of water of the yard.
It's important to keep this OUT of the slurry tanks.
Galvanised
wash bay gratings with 2-way water diverters are used to solve this problem"
