We never have a meeting this month due to the New Year Celebrations.

Next meeting is scheduled for Monday 4th Feb at 8 pm sharp.

Dec 07

Our annual Christmas Dinner was held on the 1 Dec at the Ramble Inn, Antirm. We hired in a bus for the night so everyone could relax and enjoy themselves without the worry of driving home. The food and the "craic" was great! A good time was had by all!

On 3 Dec. we had local vet Colin McCrea, who spoke on various topics including fertility on dairy/suckler cows and health in the sheep flock. Pfizer pharmacutical company representative William Sherrard who spoke about the various vaccinations in both dairy and beef herds.

Also at this meeting we launched the release of our first ever DVD!
It records the events at our "Craft Demonstrations & Country Fair" held earlier in the year.
"It is informative, educational and humourous. It has music through-out and will make an ideal Christmas present"

We had James Whyte of James Barrett & Sons Ltd, Enniskeane, Co. Cork as our guest speaker. James spoke on the benefits of feeding QLF (Quality Liquid Feeds).


Oct 07

Our AGM was held on 1 Oct 07 with Ian Harvey, well known agricultural journalist

and broadcaster, as our guest speaker.

Ian spoke of his involvement with the charity "Fields of Life"

At the end of the evening Alfred presented Ian with a donation on behalf of the Group for this worthy charity
