Welcome indeed to the home web site for The 4th Division Living History Group
here in the United Kingdom. The Group was founded in 2002 as a member group of the
World War II Living History Association and has since been accepted into the
At Large Chapter of the National 4th Infantry Division Association acknowledging the
groups work honoring the divisions veterans of WW2 at the 60th Anniversary of D-Day Commemoration
in Normandy, June 2004.
Our Credo
- Present an accurate historical portrayal of persons in the service of the United States of America
at all WWII L.H.A endorsed events.
- Educate the public, as to the contribution made, in the first instance, by the U.S. Fourth Infantry
Division to the campaigns in the North West European theatre of operations, and in the second instance
by persons in the service of the United States of America in both the United States and the North West
European theatre of operations.
- Promote the WWII L.H.A and the hobby of living history/ battle re-enactment in general by maintaining
the highest standards of presentation and discipline at both public and private events.
- Conduct its activities at public and private events in a safe and legal manner.

To achieve these aims group has focused its impression upon the organic and attached units
of the U.S. Fourth Infantry Division. In doing so the group strives to:
- Ensure that as far as possible the clothing, arms and equipment used gives an accurate
representation of U.S. Army personnel in Northwest Europe.
- Engage in planned living history scenarios presenting many and varied aspects of service
in the United States military throughout the period from the declaration of a state of emergency
in 1939 to the cessation of hostilities in 1945.
- Engage in planned battle re-enactment scenarios as a fully integrated part of the allied
forces comprising the WWII L.H.A
The group will always welcome like minded new members, and encourage those who wish to participate to
come along to a scheduled event to meet the team and experience life with the WW2 L.H.A.
